RICS Oceania Sustainability Seminar will take place on Thursday 15 September 2011 at The Museum of Sydney. This year’s seminar will deliver practical guidance on sustainability in property.
The session will showcase new RICS guidance on how to value sustainability in buildings. The topic of sustainability and its influence on commercial property valuation has become increasingly important to both property owners and tenants. While debate continues regarding sustainability’s impact on the property market, few would disagree that ‘valuing green’ has become an issue that needs serious consideration. They have some great speakers including; Bruce Precious, Mark Willers, Nicholas Deeks, Lexia Wilson and John Goddard.
The seminar will aim to give targeted practical advise to a number of industry sectors:
For Valuers :: How to put a value on the sustainable performance of commercial buildings
For Quantity Surveyors :: How to quantify carbon in building materials and construction
For Property Managers :: How to manage property assests so that they attract green thinking tenants
