Digitalpress project // showcase I AM postcards

Tuesday Aug 30, 2011 - Author: - Category: digital printing, nexpress

Showcase Gallery brings the personal work of creative’s out of hiding and into the spot light. Showcase has crafted a tailored platform from which anyone can access these unique minds and artistic offerings. They support Australian creative’s, inject some International flavour, and hope to share their passion for stimulating works, while smudging the line between art and advertising a little more. They are about to launch their newest exhibition of Photographic works by Simon Lister – New Zealand born, and with a love of photography from the age of 14, Simon has taken the road less travelled to uncover places not found on the tourism map. With a camera and his Royal Enfield motorbike he rides over the highest mountain roads in the world taking on some of the most extreme conditions.

The design work was created by Luca Ionescu of Like Minded Studios for Simon Lister of Nylon Studio’s exhibition.

Close-up detail, showing the hi-definition our new press achieves.

We’ve printed their postcards and posters for their up-coming I AM exhibition on our new NexPress – Splendorgel stock, CMYK and utilising our hi-definition ink to produce beautiful detail and results.

The exhibition opens on Tuesday 6 September through to the 10th September. Head to Showcase Gallery / Simon Lister Photography for further information.

Our revolutionary new press has just arrived!

Sunday Aug 21, 2011 - Author: - Category: digital printing, media / press / pr, nexpress

It has finally arrived. Our new Kodak Nexpress Photo 3300 the first one for this side of the hemisphere and one of just a few in the world.

New features include HD smaller particle-sized dry inks that increase quality and reduce ink usage, the fifth imaging unit can print CMYK + light black to optimize grain producing superior mid-tones, a higher density black dry ink for darker rich blacks, matt fuser roller for a matt finish to emulate uncoated offset look and feel and can print longer sheets up to 660mm. The NexPress was designed to reduce environmental impact.

The dry inks are de-inkable using standard industry processes, and do not contain lead or phthalates above limits for children’s products established by the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. When it comes to productivity, our new NexPress3300 Digital Colour Production Press is the only sheet-fed digital production colour press to offer unconstrained 3300 A3+ sheets per hour.

Our new press!

The old press after 5 years of production gets covered up and on to its next destination.

Gives a new meaning to street press!

The look and feel of traditional offset with an uncoated finish.

Now we can offer a larger print size...6pp A4

Our 660x356mm sheet size is superb for brochures & collateral

A close up of the flawless quality the new press will offer.

digitalpress project // zed & bee designed invite

Thursday Jun 30, 2011 - Author: - Category: digital printing, nexpress, technology

We recently printed an invite designed by design agency Zed & Bee, using our digital raised printing which produces a beautiful 3d raised effect.

‘The Ultimate Boys Weekend’ Bucks Bespoke Invite….

A members only loft in Tasmania was the destination for this decadent bucks event. A ‘secret message’ and travel booklet within a wax sealed pocket fold envelope set a luxurious tone. The talented duo at Zed & Bee then created such a bespoke invite ::
