THE AUSTRALIAN FASHION MASTER CRAFTERS SASS & BIDE HAVE RECENTLY LAUNCHED THEIR COLLECTIONS with MYER – they celebrated by designing a superior (and super-colourful) invitation.
We printed these bespoke invites on our Nexpress with extra 5th colour, utilising our raised dimensional clear ink on part of the design to give the invite a unique effect. Stock used was K.W.Doggett Fine Paper’s Envirocare 100% recycled stock.

What in seconds can destroy a lifetime of work, can take a generation to rebuild.
AMP Capital were involved in the rebuilding of Darwin after the devastating cyclone of 1974, assisted after the Victorian Bushfires in 2009, and also helped during the Queensland Floods and Christchurch Earthquake of 2010-11. In fact, they have been involved in helping people that have suffered from natural disasters for most of their 160 years in business.
AMP Capital now have the opportunity to contribute to the rebuilding efforts in Japan.

AMP Capital has a strong connection to Japan, participating in Japan’s first global REIT launch in 2004 and establishing a Tokyo office in 2007. For seven years they have focused on developing their business in Japan, expanding into both retail and institutional markets. Their Japan business has since achieved significant success, and remains a key cornerstone for AMP Capital’s future strategic growth.
In light of the tragic events in March, they have extended their support to Japan through an internal fundraising event held recently on 6 July. The fundraising committee produced an exciting Japanese themed evening with live and silent auctions, games, sushi and sake, karaoke and much more.

We supported the event by producing posters showing the full-length devastation of the Earthquake in Japan and a beautiful message book which we printed on our wide-format Roland Printer and bound with Buckram Stock.

This official Japan fundraising event donated all proceeds to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake Appeal, to help thousands of vulnerable children and their families by providing essential items, aid workers, school kits, child friendly spaces, and ongoing assistance from local relief agencies as communities rebuild. Over 300 AMP Capital staff attended the event and raised $32,000 (including dollar matching from the AMP Foundation) which will go to the Save the Children’s Japan Appeal and Tanya Strongman (Emergencies Program Manager) to help continue their noble work.
We congratulate AMP Capital and all who attended for supporting this extremely worthy cause, which helped raise funds for those families who really need it most.

This humble medium has developed into a powerful tool for creative expression and functionality all around the world. Paper is having a resurgence, in what can be seen as a backlash to the massmarket digital design style, paper has slowly climbed the cool ladder, reminding us that all you really need is a simple piece of paper and a little creativity.
Digitalpress are a proud digital print sponsor of the festival, in what will be a week-long event in the celebration of print + paper.

Hosted from 31 May to 5 June at The Paper Mill & with elements of the event to be held at Sydney ‘spotlights’, including Object Gallery, Surry Hills & The University of Sydney (Design + Architecture building); the festival will highlight the diverse creative applications of paper and attempt to influence public perception of how we utilise paper in its everyday form. They will engage the community to contribute to an installation themed ‘public intervention’.

A4 is presented by The Paper Convention, a collective dedicated to the documentation of paper
expressionism, the festival will showcase the most extraordinary creations crafted from paper; from small objects & figures, large-scale installations, handcrafted creations, self-published zines, three-dimensional graphic sculptures made by the designers/artists from different disciplines including design, print, graphic design, illustration, fashion, sculpture and animation.

:: Paper Professor Yoshinobu Miyamoto will fly to Sydney, Australia to showcase his amazing
paper cut structures [above].
